Rewilding has had an incredible decade. It has raised a lot of questions about how land and see should be use, our relationship with nature and how we might best promote the recovery of biodiversity. It has also faced criticism from a variety of sources, some of which has suggested that rewilding is a meaningless term, lacking a definition or any basis in ecological science. However, this overlooks the fact that rewilding is now firmly entrenched in academic and practical approaches to the biodiversity crisis.
